Allison Cleveland

I started my undergrad in 1999 as one of three women in my Media Arts major. Art and computers had always been two things that interested me and I jumped at the chance to use them in tandem. The program was so new that when I started they did not yet have a graduating class.

After working for a digital learning company in Western New York, I moved to NYC and continued my education at the School of Visual Arts. I was very impressed that my professor had previously worked for Rolling Stone, as I am a huge music fan and have been involved in the industry personally and professionally for years…fueled by passion and competition, this is when I really started to hone my craft. Within the following year I started a freelance assistant position at Music Choice, a broadcast music company, and 12 years later left as the Multimedia Head, managing the entire graphic and motion team that serviced all company departments.

In 2019 I co-founded DreamThink LLC, with our flagship endeavor being a meditation app that uses binaural beats to entrain the brain into falling into states of rest and relaxation, productivity, and even transcendence. I produced all visual aspects of this project, including branding, UI/UX design, marketing, social media, and live event experiences that took us all over the world. The app is currently available for iOS via the App Store.

Design, creativity, and aesthetics are things that touch all aspects of my life, from cooking to photography to interior decor, I’m always soaking in the beauty, the passion, and the life that is absolutely everywhere; looking for ways to create perfection amongst the chaos…and on occasion getting unreasonably annoyed with terrible typography and unnecessary drop shadows…but sometimes even those have their place :)
